How many dictatorships do you support?

Chances are, the answer is many. Unfortunately, that's what capitalism has given us. We have a society largely controlled by companies which are structured as a dictatorships and most people's livelihoods depend on playing by their rules. It's no wonder we have such economic inequality. If democracy is supposedly better, then why don't we have it as part of how we make money to survive? Professor Richard D. Wolff has helped to popularize the idea of democracy in the workplace as a way to decrease inequality. He has helped point out that democratic worker co-ops can work, especially with the example of the long running Mondragon Corporation.

More People, More Connected, Less Happiness

A higher position in a dominance or competence hierarchy generally equates to more happiness. A more dense and connected world means fewer and larger hierarchies with less people near the top. It seems we are doomed to suffer until this is recognized and we choose to make changes.
